THE "LIGHTCATCHERS" OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS
Nature, outdoor and wildlife photography have grown inside of me over the years. As an avid mountain hiker, I started to document the ever-changing environment. Photography taught me how to pay attention; it also taught me patience. I can set up a workshop for individuals, corporations or non-profits. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for specifics. Travel fees beyond 35 miles from Kent, OH and full accommodation beyond 75 miles are not included. see more below
LEARNING THE BASICS
Shutter speed, ISO and depth of field are not cryptic concepts; they are the foundations of photography, its Holy Trinity. And the learning of how to combine these three tools to get the best shot possible never stops. This is where we will start, always, in these workshops. No shortcut, for anyone.
6 people min, 12 max per workshop,
13 years old and above only,
$80 per person, due at the time you are booking the workshop.
SEIZING THE MOMENT
This is the Holy Trinity at work. We start to go out and shoot. The natural world is an endless source of possibilities and inspiration. It doesn't take a safari in Tanzania to get outstanding nature photos. I bet your backyard would be a good place to start and do your training!
No cell phones, no compact cameras. Only DSLR and full-frame digital cameras will be considered. Feel free to contact me in case of doubt.
CRAFTING A STORY
This is what we are all aiming at. A slideshow of your last vacation trip can either put your entire family to sleep or to be an engaging conversation starter and/or curiosity teaser. How do we turn a pile of digital shots into a compelling story? We can talk about it.
Workshops last somewhere between 2 and 3 hours but I won't spend the whole time checking the clock. You won't be charged more if we happen to go beyond 3 hours.
